On February 7, Chiangkai was joined by Sales Manager Nathan Curcio and Regional Director for ANZ, Stephen Mullan at the FIDO Alliance Seminar.

As financial institutions look to replace traditional passwords with OS- and browser-based FIDO passkeys, the importance of strong step-up authentication for high-value transactions remains critical. While passkeys enhance security and simplify the user experience, additional verification may be needed in certain scenarios to ensure higher levels of trust.
A key consideration discussed was how trust is maintained when users switch devices. While biometric authentication, such as Face ID or fingerprints, provides reliable verification on a trusted device, financial institutions must ensure seamless and secure authentication across device changes.
